Mrs. Donna "Karen" Watson Woodard

Mrs. Donna “Karen” Watson Woodard, age 71, of Americus, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Wilson Hospice House in Albany surrounded by her family, in love and worship. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2025 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Rev. Earl Dunman will officiate the service. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m until service time. If you plan to attend, please wear your favorite color in honor of Karen's vibrant spirit. Karen was born March 9th, 1954 in Tifton, Georgia to the late James S. “Rody” Watson and Joyce Powell Harnage. Karen was a light and joy to all that ever encountered her. She never met a stranger. She loved Jesus, coffee, her family, others, and basketball - in that order. She was a fighter and encourager. Survivors include her husband; James Ray Woodard, her daughters; Rachel Joyce Price (Brandon) of Americus, GA, Jessica Raye Woodard of Americus, GA her son; Wesley Craig Wellons (Miriam) of El Paso, TX. Her step daughters; Kimberly Castle (James) of Athens, GA, and Dana Faircloth (Daniel) of Kathleen, GA. A sister; Dawn Watson Crawford (Morgan) of Dothan, AL. Two brothers; Mark Harnage (Sonia) of Americus, GA and Wendell Watson of Greenville, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Hunter Wellons, Seth Wellons, Natalie Wellons, Kiyoshi Mendez, Mia Mendez, Anna Castle, and Gabriel Price. Two great-grandchildren; Mila Wellons and Elias Wellons. In addition to those listed, she is survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Phyllis Watson.
