Ms. Docia Ruthie Brown

Ms. Docia Ruthie Brown age 87, passed away, Friday July 19, 2019, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday July 22, 2019 at Preston Baptist Church. Rev. Raymond Smith and Rev. Chris Hess will officiate. Interment will follow in the Preston City Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21st at Aldridge Funeral Services. Mrs. Docia Ruthie Brown was born December 31, 1931 in Benevolence, GA, daughter of the late Bry Theodore Avera and the late Fannie Pearl Johnson Avera. She grew up in Randolph County and married Thurman Brown. Mrs. Brown was a Homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, needle work and watching braves baseball.
