Dianne Moore DeLoach, 84, of Americus, Georgia, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2026, surrounded by her family at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia.
Marguerite Dianne Moore DeLoach was born on February 5, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late James Carlton Moore and Mary Lawrence Moore. She grew up in Valdosta, Georgia, and married Virgil Hugh DeLoach, Jr. on November 19, 1961. For nearly 65 years, Dianne loved and cared for Hugh, and the life they shared was precious to them both.
Dianne earned a two-year degree from Valdosta Business School in 1962 and worked as a secretary for many years. An entrepreneur at heart, she later owned and enjoyed running several businesses, including DeLoach's Ladies Apparel in Americus. Dianne served as a wedding director for many years and took great joy in helping couples celebrate their special day.
Dianne’s life reflected the woman described in Proverbs 31. She loved Jesus, drew strength from her Bible, and lived out her faith by serving others. She prepared meals, hosted showers, and took special joy in decorating the church for special occasions. Her friends and church family held a special place in her heart.
Dianne dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a gift for making each of them feel loved and cared for, and she found joy in making their celebrations special.
Dianne loved all things beautiful, especially her home and her flowers. She enjoyed reading Christian novels and gathering around the table to play cards.
Dianne is survived by her husband, Virgil Hugh DeLoach, Jr. of Americus, and her children, Debbie Hagan (Keith) of Statesboro, Georgia, and Dawn Shattles, and Kevin DeLoach, both of Americus. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Moore (Elizabeth) of St. Augustine, Florida, and her brother-in-law, Bill Lewis of Memphis, Tennessee.
Her six grandchildren are Amberly Ferebee (Chris), April Hagan (Bryce Richardson), Austin Hagan (Susanna), Anslee Rucker (Collin), Dustin Shattles (Kendall), and Brody Shattles (Katelyn). Her seven great-grandchildren are Madeline Ferebee, William Ferebee, Sophie Richardson, Emma Richardson, Khade Hagan, Kyler Hagan, and Brooklyn Hagan. The family looks forward to welcoming two more great-grandchildren soon.
In addition to her parents, Dianne was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lewis, and her brothers, Larry Moore and Bob Moore.
Her family will miss her deeply. Even in their grief, they celebrate her life and take comfort in knowing she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Central Baptist Church in Americus, with the Rev. Bryan Myers officiating. The family will greet friends in the church sanctuary following the service. A private committal service for the immediate family will be held on Monday, November 9, at Andersonville National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church, 190 Upper River Road, Americus, GA 31709.
