Mr. Dewey "Jack" Johnson Carey Jr., 75, of Americus, GA, passed away at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center Thursday, September 13, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 17, 2018 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. Rev. Kevin Brown and Rev. Chris Yarber will officiate. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Andersonville National Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday, September 16th at Aldridge Funeral Services. Mr. Dewey "Jack" Johnson Carey Jr. was born November 11, 1942 in Spring Hope North Carolina, son of the late Dewey Johnson Carey Sr. and the late Virginia Tant Carey. He retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. Mr. Carey attended Cornerstone Church. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law Angie Smith (Donnie) of Plains and Lisa Shiflett (Paul) of Americus.
