Mr. David Wooden

Mr. David Randel Wooden, 62, of Americus, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020 at his residence. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Chris Wooden will officiate. Interment will follow in the Leslie City Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Aldridge Funeral Services on Wednesday evening, September 16, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00. Mr. Wooden was born on December 17, 1957 in Chattanooga, TN. He worked as a correction officer and he also worked as Superintendent of ground and maintenance for the City of Americus. He served in the United States Army. Survivors include: his wife, Sandra Hawkins Wooden of Americus; three daughters and sons-in- law, Misty Daniel (Scott) of Americus; Crystal Melton (Michael) of Americus; Chelsea McBride (Richard) of Perry; three sons, Adam Wooden of Americus; Josh Martin of Americus, Devin Gordon of Americus; one sister, Gail Mooney of Americus; five brothers, Donald Wooden of...
