Mr. David Milton Reeves

April 1, 1948 – January 14, 2025 David Milton Reeves, 76, passed away January 14, 2025 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA. He was born in Sumter County Georgia on April 1, 1948 to the late Jewell Davis Reeves and William Houston Reeves. David was an avid outdoorsman and gifted athlete. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 1966 out of high school but decided to attend the University of Georgia where he was an All-SEC standout pitcher and homerun leader on the UGA baseball team. Upon completion of his Georgia baseball career, he was awarded the Georgia Varsity G. He was a lifelong Georgia Bulldog. David served in the US Army, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War, and was a proud military veteran. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved his friends and cousins, and loved driving around visiting those friends and cousins all throughout the community.
