Ms. Dana Michele Mclemore

Dana Michele McLemore, age 54 of Plains, GA, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 5th 2025. Ms. Dana McLemore was born at Sumter Regional Hospital on April 21st, 1971 to George and Betty Sue Dominick. She graduated from Americus High School in 1989 with honors and went on to study nursing at Georgia Southwestern State University, where she received the 12th District Award for Academic Excellence. Dana, always having a heart for others, was a devoted CCU nurse for a combined 27 years at Sumter Regional/Phoebe Sumter Hospitals where she helped save the lives of countless patients until her retirement in 2017. Ms. McLemore was celebrated for her mouthwatering recipes, especially the artistically designed cakes she crafted. She was also known as a "crochet queen" who could make virtually anything if she had a pattern. There was no better person who could find a yarn sale at Hobby Lobby!
