Ms. Cordelia Rooks

Ms. Cordelia Rooks, 86, of Americus, GA passed away Friday November 24, 2017 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held, 2:00 p.m. Sunday November 26, Graveside at Concord Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Matt Avera officiating. Ms. Rooks was born October 21, 1931 in Americus, GA to the late Powell Buchanan and the late Ira Gertrude Wynn Buchanan. Ms. Rooks was retired from the Department of Transportation as a secretary and was a member of Concord Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons: Eddie Rooks (Bonnie) of Steinhatchee, FL and Martin Rooks of Plains, GA. One sister: Linda Williams of Atlanta, GA. Ms. Rooks is also survived by three Grandchildren, Tina Bowman, Kristi Brown and Kendal Ehrensperger; six Great Grandchildren, Rooks Ehrensperger, Kristi Ehrensperger, Blake Brown, Brooklyn Brown, Bryce Brown and Sims Bowman and a number of nieces and nephews.
