Mrs. Christine Buchanan

Mrs. Christine Buchanan age 92 of Americus, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A private graveside service will be held on her birthday, Friday, April 17, 2020. Rev. Matt Avera of Concord UMC will officiate. Mrs. Buchanan was born April 17, 1927 in Randolph County. She was the daughter of the late Jesse James Woodman and the late Essie Lou Rigsby Cosby. She was a Homemaker and worked for Sumter Regional Hospital in medical records for many years. She was a lifetime member of Concord United Methodist Church. "Mama Neen" as she was affectionally known to her family and many others enjoyed being at her home. She especially enjoyed watching her redbirds and hummingbirds. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Bonnie Buchanan Morgan (John) of Americus and a daughter-in-law Jennifer Buchanan of Americus.
