Dr. Charles Wayne Davis

Dr. Charles Wayne Davis, age 84, of Americus passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday December 20, 2023 at the First Methodist Church. Dr. Daryl Brown will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Vienna City Cemetery. The family is receiving friends at their home 181 Lake Shore drive in Americus. Charles Wayne Davis was born January 8, 1939 in Safford, Arizona. He was the son of the late Julius Homer Charles Davis "JC" and the late Ruth Ratliff Davis. Dr. Davis or "Charlie" as he was known by the many who loved him was a man of many interests and talents. He graduated from medical school at the University of Tennessee in 1965 and served in the United States Public Health Service as LT Commander in Alderson West Virginia, New Orleans, LA, Long Island, NY, and Gallup, New Mexico.
