Celestine Peace Young

Ms. Celestine Peace Young, age 64, of 201 B. East Dodson Street, Americus, passed away June 3, 2016 where she was surrounded peacefully by her family at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Newnan, Georgia. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. Reverend Will Rayborn will officiate. Celestine Peace Young was born March 25, 1952 in Waycross, Georgia. Celestine was a lifelong educator who devoted her life to her three children, and later, her three grandchildren. Because of her passion for education, she strongly encouraged and motivated her children to seek out the highest possible levels of education. Celestine was diagnosed with cancer and four weeks later passed away peacefully. She was an avid Braves fan. She loved to travel, especially to the beach or mountains. She was an excellent cook.
