Ms. Brenda Jewel Ammons

Ms. Brenda Jewel Ammons age 80, of Americus, passed away Sunday, October 01, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Marty Dillon will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Brenda Jewel Dorminy Ammons was born November 25, 1942 in Moultrie, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Robert Holt Dorminy and the late Ezmel Jewel Alred Dorminy. Ms. Ammons worked as a Clerk of the Court for the Department of Juvenile Justice for many years and later for the Americus Police Department as a Records Clerk until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Andrea Ammons of Ashville, NC and Timothy Ammons and fiancé Helen Howell of Austell, GA.
