Mr. Billy Gene Cagle Sr., age 78 of Preston, GA died Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA. A graveside service with full military honors will be held Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Preston City Cemetery in Preston, GA. Reverend Joel Fussell and Reverend Raymond Smith will officiate. A visitation will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 6:00PM at Aldridge Funeral Services. The following are asked to serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Lewis Gunnels, Christopher Rymer, James Priest, Bill Raybon, Chico Raybon and James Weaver. Mr. Billy Gene Cagle Sr. was born July 16, 1938 in Chatsworth, GA, son of the late Homer Cagle and the late Mae Huffman Cagle. Mr. Billy served twenty years in the United States Army and twenty years with the Civil Service. Mr. Cagle was of the Baptist faith.
