Mrs. Betty Jean Tompkins

Mrs. Betty J. Tompkins age 77, passed away Sunday, October 01, 2023 at the Sumter Retirement Village in Plains. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev. Matt Pearce will officiate the service. Betty Jean Mitchell Tompkins was born June 19, 1946 in Hawkinsville, GA. She was the daughter of the late Bob Mitchell and the late Dorene Scott Mitchell. She was a Homemaker and Baptist by faith. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Bissaillon of Plains, Mary McPhail of Ellaville and Tracy Barfield of Americus. Seven grandchildren, Raymond Bissaillon, Jay Bryant, Ciera Gay, Alex Hale, Tiffany Camp, Caleb McPhail, Jolene McPhail and three great grandchildren, Lola Bryant, Presleigh Taylor and Sadie Hood.
