Mrs. Betty Ann Thiers Godwin, age 81, of Plains, GA., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Perfect Care. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 8, 2025 in Lebanon Cemetery. Rev. R T Beverly will officiate the service.
Betty Ann Thiers was born September 28, 1944 to the late Lucas & Martha Thiers. She was a compassionate caregiver, Registered Nurse and started Perfect Care in 1994 where she excelled at dedicating her life to caregiving. Betty was married to her loving husband Boze Godwin for sixty years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one sister; Bunny Goodman (Butch) of Panama City, FL. Three children; Julie Harry (Scotty), Gail Allegood (Shayne), Earl Godwin (Dawn). Grandchildren; Trey Smith (Brittany), Colt Smith (Kristin), Brent Allegood, Martha-Scott Harry, Lynton Godwin V, and Landon Godwin. Three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers family request donations to be made to Perfect Care Remembrance and Care Fund- nonprofit.
