Ms. Betty Athon Bendimire

Ms. Betty Athon Bendimire, age 92, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Graveside Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Rev. Marty Dillon will officiate the service. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery. Betty Margaret White Athon Bendimire was born March 1, 1932 in Morgan County GA. She was the daughter of the late Fred Lewis White and the late Margaret Biddy White. Betty grew up in Adairsville, GA and graduated from Adairsville High School. She later married, moved and made Americus her home. She was a devoted member of Central Baptist Church and member of the Kathlene Gardner Sunday school Class. She was also a member of the Silvertones. Betty worked for Manhattan Shirt Company for 42 years. She was a former member of the Board and volunteer at the Rylander Theater.
