Beatrice "Bea" Johnson Spann, age 95 of Preston, passed away and entered her forever home in heaven on Saturday, July 13, 2024 surrounded by her family and Sumter Retirement Village workers. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Rev. Raymond Smith and Rev. Gary Cullison will officiate the service. The family will greet friends and extended family Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in the Centerpoint Community, in Preston, GA. Beatrice Johnson Spann was born June 23, 1929 in Preston, GA. She was the daughter of the late Herschel Josephus Johnson and the late Willie Pearl Holley Johnson. Ms. Bea was a retired LPN nurse. She was a loving mother and grandmother devoted to helping her family and others. She enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, caring for her flowers and reading, especially her Bible..
