Barbara Byron Mitchell

Mrs. Barbara Byron Mitchell, age 70, of Americus, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, May 9, 2026 in the Chapel of Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Rev. John Walker will officiate the service. The family will greet friends following the service in the chapel.

Barbara was born February 13, 1956 in Baltimore, MD. She was the daughter of the late Richard Clive Byron and the late Margaret Celeste George Byron. She worked as a Nursing Administrator for Magnolia Manor in Buena Vista, until her retirement.

Survivors include her sister, Carol Anderson (Steve) of Saint. Leonard, FL and her brother, Richard Byron of St. Petersburg, FL.

In addition to her parents Barbara was preceded in death by her husband William James Mitchell.
