Mr. Arthur Eugene "Gene" Bush

It is with deepest sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Arthur Eugene "Gene" Bush, of Ellaville, GA. He passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on May 4, 1948, in Americus, GA, he was a devoted husband to Estelle Bush, as well as a loving father and grandfather. Gene was a man of integrity and honor. He felt called to serve his country and in 1967 he voluntarily enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in the Vietnam War, received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and a Navy Unit Commendation for their role in the Tet Offensive. A carpenter by trade, he grew his one-man flooring company into a thriving small business, earning the respect of both customers and peers. He was a true leader—someone others looked to for strength in difficult times and gladly stood behind through both triumph and trial. His presence brought comfort and confidence to those around him.
