Amous Andrew "Andy" Foster

Mr. Amous Andrew [Andy] Foster age 82, passed away at his residence Monday afternoon, February 4, 2013.  Funeral services will be held from the graveside at Andersonville National Cemetery with full Military Honors at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 with Rev. Bud Womack officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening February 7, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and other times the family residence 907 Cypress Drive Americus, Georgia.      Mr. Foster was born May 18, 1930 in Idabel, OK the son of the late Jeff Foster and Eulah Fletcher Foster.  Mr. Foster was a Veteran serving in the US Air Force during Korean Conflict and Vietnam era and retired with 20 Years service at the rank of Staff Sgt.  He then joined the United States Secret Service as an agent where he served and his last assignment was with former President Jimmy Carter detail, he retired from that in May of 1985 after 20 Years service.  He was of the Lutheran faith and a member of the American Legion Post...
