Alvin E. Johnson

.        Mr. Alvin E. Johnson age 84, passed away early Friday morning, February 13, 2015 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center.  Funeral Services will be held from the Graveside at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dennis Johnson will officiate.  The following are asked to serve as Honorary Pallbearers Jeffrey: Parker, Ralph Milam, Robert Walker, Jerry Melton, David Melton, Jimmy Usry, Gary Underwood and James Paige. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening February 14, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and other times the family residence 293 Upper River Road.      Mr. Johnson was born November 9, 1930 in Ellaville, Ga., son of the late Joe Riley Johnson and Hattie Lou Sorrells Johnson.  He was retired from South Georgia Technical College where he worked in maintenance.
