Lee Charles Dayhoff

Mr. Lee Dayhoff, age 55, passed away at his residence Sunday afternoon, October 5, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014, in the chapel of First Baptist Church. Dr. Mike Flowers will be officiating. Friends will be received at the family residence, 301 Taylor Street in Americus, daily from 11 a.m. – 2:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m – 7:00 p.m. Mr. Dayhoff was born April 9, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to his illness Mr. Dayhoff worked for the Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department in Grounds Management. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 8.5 years and was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Mr. Dayhoff is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Cindie Dayhoff, daughter and son-in-law Ashley Dayhoff Hardester (David) of Maryland, and son Nick Dayhoff of Americus. The son of Charles Frank Dayhoff and Gloria Elise Camagna Dayhoff, sister Charlene Dayhoff of Maryland, and brother Guy Dayhoff of Arizona. Also survived by three grandchildren: Michael, Ryan and Lauren Hardester, all of Maryland.
