Mrs. Vicki Williamson Crew

Vicki Williamson Crew of Americus, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Central Baptist Church. Rev. Hugh Deloach and Rev. Marty Dillon will officiate the services. A private graveside service will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Central Baptist Church Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Vicki was born on September 15, 1965, to Dr. Comer and Mary Williamson in Eufaula, Alabama. Vicki was a tennis player, a member of the Americus High singers, and a cheerleader at Americus High School. She loved her class of 1983. Her gift of cheering everyone on around her never stopped… After High School, Vicki graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University with a degree in business and marketing. Vicki married Robert Crew, Jr. whom she met at First Atlanta Bank. The two fell in love after banking school in Atlanta and became branch managers of different banks. Vicki remained in banking for the remainder of her career where she helped thousands. Her final work home was at PeoplesSouth Bank in Americus, where she served as Market President. Vicki was a pillar of support in the community. She was a lifetime member of the Americus Junior Service League, One Sumter Economic Development Board, and a member of numerous other boards. Vicki was a born giver and loved to help anyone in need. She was a preacher’s daughter, and she loved the Lord her entire life. She was an active member at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Vicki always had the right words at the right time for anyone she encountered. She was the biggest cheerleader for your wins and biggest encourager for your losses. She was everyone’s mom. Her kindness and relatability were unmatched. She never met a stranger. Vicki had a beautiful voice, she was a great cook, loved the outdoors, and loved her puppies. Most importantly Vicki was an incredible mother and grandmother. She loved fiercely. She was the best wife, mother, Vivi, and friend anyone could have asked for. There will never be another Vicki Williamson Crew! Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” Crew of Americus. Her children Brandon Vann (Lauren) of Andersonville, Kyle Crew of Birmingham, AL, Valerie Vann Rape (Kevin) and Kendall Crew Stephens (Colt) of Americus. Vicki is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne Edwards (Alan) of Perry; a step brother, Dr. Ray Duke Jr. (April) of Americus, a step sister, April Henderson (Gary) of Locust Grove, GA and two sisters-in-law, Kerri Windle (John) of Mountain Brook, AL and Sharon Davis (Tim) of Albany. Five grandchildren Bennett Vann, Andrew Vann, Brooks Rape, Wyatt Stephens and Kinslee Rape. In addition to her mother, Mary Williamson Duke, Vicki is survived by her mother and father-in-law, Wadean Thaxton (Jimmy) all of Americus.
