Ms. Marjorie Cross Carden

Ms. Marjorie Carden, 86, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2023 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. Rev. Damon Fountain will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. Sunday until service time in the chapel. A private burial will follow the service at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Vienna, GA. Marjorie was born December 11, 1936, and grew up in the Mars Hill Community of Dooly County, Georgia, as the daughter of the late Raymond Gordon Cross and the late Onnie Allen Cross. She became a Christian at Mars Hill Baptist Church as a child and spent her life attending church, loving the lord, and serving her lord and others. Marjorie was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church, Americus, for many years. After graduating from Vienna High School, Marjorie attended South Georgia Technical College becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She began her nursing career in Moultrie, Georgia, and retired from the Health Center on the Georgia Southwestern State University campus in Americus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her baby daughter, Bonita Carden, her siblings, Ray Dean Cross, Melba Cross Robertson, and Aubrey Eugene Cross. Survivors include her sons, Albert M. Carden (Gloria) of Easley, S.C., Thomas M. Carden, Jr. (Charlene) of Kennesaw, GA and Keith L. Carden (Jalaine) of Fallston, MD; Five grandchildren, Andrew Carden, Philip Carden, Kendall Carden, Kyle Carden and Taylor Carden and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Hugh Allen Cross (Alecia) of Centerville, GA and Cherry Cross Braswell (Johnny) of Waynesboro, GA In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Gideons International Center, P.O.
